In February 2001, after more than twenty-six years in the hospitality and travel industry, Neil Cramer understood that many independent luxury hotels and resorts could not afford to have a full-time presence in northern California. Neil contacted many of the most prestigious independent hotels and resorts that he had partnered with during his career, and they agreed on the need to work together in order to keep their names in front of meeting planners and key decision makers in the Bay Area.
The concept of providing meeting planners with easy access to information, availability, rates, proposals and site inspections has proven so successful, that the number of participating hotels has increased to 500+ of the best hotels in the world, and in addition to the Bay Area, the Cramer Collection now has offices in Jacksonville. Neil also realized that his meeting planner customers would be better served by expanding the range of products and service offered by The Cramer Collection.
